Hayden Zillmer Qualifies for Freestyle World Team Trials

Hayden Zillmer took runner up at the Greco-Roman World Team Trials in Las Vegas, which was not a qualifying finish, and decided to switch it up and move to freestyle. Hayden competed well in the last chance freestyle qualifying tournament in Rochester, MN. Zillmer, defeating Timmy McCall in the 97 kg/213 lbs. finals, 6-4, courtesy of a late four-point throw. He tallied one technical fall and a pin on his way to the finals showdown. He qualified for the freestyle World Team Trials at 97K in Nebraska and if he wins that he will be a world team member. He has been training hard the past couple of weeks and is ready for the task at hand.
